5 Tips for Selfcare

"Putting myself first makes me feel selfish and guilty, especially when others need me."

Anyone who doesn't identify with this, speak up. We are so busy in the rush of everyday life that we lose ourselves in the doing, doing, and doing.

And when everything seems to be done, there's something else that needs to be done right after. Do you also find yourself living in this snowball effect, isn't that true?

You're not alone. This is extremely common among us, women. After all, we have the superpower to do a million things at once; we are natural caregivers, and it's so difficult not to respond to everything and everyone.

But in the midst of surviving each day on autopilot, there's no room left to truly be yourself, and you end up getting sick, sad, worn out, and losing your unique personal sparkle.

So, how can you BE more in your life? Here are 5 tips for self-care:

  1. Set healthy boundaries for yourself.

  2. Say "No" more often to things that don't resonate with you.

  3. Prioritize self-care (e.g., moments of silence, being in your own company, doing something that brings you pleasure - like going for a walk, dancing, writing, listening to music, reading a book...).

  4. Have the courage to be vulnerable, slow down, and express what you think and feel.

  5. Ask for help when needed and delegate tasks.

Anything is valid as long as it brings you pleasure and helps you come back to the present moment, so you can simply be! Because the more you allow yourself to take care of yourself and recharge, the more you will create health and radiate your unique and valuable personal sparkle to the world in the best version of yourself.

And what about feeling guilty and selfish? They will eventually dissipate as you prioritize self-care, because after all, you can't lend a hand to others if your cup is empty.

Simply BE!
